Dead Can Dance: Aion

On June 11, 1990, “4AD” label released “Aion”, the fifth Dead Can Dance studio album. It was recorded 1989 – 1990, at Brendan Perry’s estate in “Quivvy Church” in Ireland “Woodbine Street Recording Studios” in Leamington Spa, England, and was produced by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. The album cover shows a detail from the Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch’s triptych “The Garden of Earthly Delights”.

The album cover photograph was taken in Paris, at the family grave of François-Vincent Raspail at Père-Lachaise cemetery.
