Husker Du New Day Rising

On January 31, 1985, “SST” label released “New Day Rising”, the third Hüsker Dü studio album.  It was recorded in July 1984 at “Nicollet Studios” in Minneapolis, and was produced by Bob Mould, Grant Hart, Greg Norton and Spot. Magazine “Spin” ranked “New Day Rising” at number 13 at its list “100 Greatest Albums, 1985-2005.”; the album is ranked at number 488 on “Rolling Stone” magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On January 19, 1987, “Warner Bros” label released “Warehouse: Songs and Stories”, the sixth and final Hüsker Dü studio album.  It  was recorded August – November 1986, and was produced by Bob Mould, Grant Hart and Greg Norton.

On January 18, 1986, “A&M” label released “Made to Be Broken”, the second Soul Asylum studio album. It was recorded in 1985, and was produced by Bob Mould. It was the first of three albums of Soul Asylum to be released in 1986.
