Living Colour: Time’s Up

On August 20, 1990, “Epic” label released “Time’s Up”, the second Living Colour studio album. It was recorded 1989 – 1990, at “A&M Studios” in Hollywood, and “RPM Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Ed Stasium. The album won “Grammy” award for the “Best Hard Rock Album of the Year”.

Black Sabbath: Tyr

On August 20, 1990, “I.R.S.” label released “Tyr”, the fifteenth Black Sabbath studio album. It was recorded February – June 1990, at “Rockfield Studios” in Rockfield, Monmouthshire, Wales and “Woodcray Studios” in Berkshire, UK, and was produced by Tony Iommi, Cozy Powel, Tony Martin, Neil Murray and Geoff Nichols.

On August 20, 1980, “RCA” label released “24 Carrots”, the ninth Al Stewart studio album. It was recorded in May 1980 at “Davlen Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Chris Desmond and Al Stewart. It was his first album with his band Shot in the Dark.

On August 20, 2002, “SpinART” label released “Black Letter Days”, the first of two albums by Frank Black and the Catholics  simultaneously released in 2002. It was recorded from October 2001 – January 2002, and was produced by Nick Vincent. The title implies the opposite of the term “Red Letter Days” which are holidays – a “black letter day” being all the ordinary days in a given month.
