He was musician (double bass), recorded and performed with many famous Jazz musicians, among the others with Peter Erskine, Lennart Aberg, Jan Garbarek, Lee Konitz, Karin Krog, Christof Lauer, Charles Lloyd, Michael Petrucciani, John Taylor, Enrico Rava, Geri Allen, Bill Evans, Richard Galliano, Barre Phillips, Dino Saluzzi, Tomasz Stanko, Edward Vesala, Colin Walcott and Keith Jarrett. As leader he released five albums.

On May 12, 2024, David William Sanborn died aged 78. He was musician (alto saxophone, piano), one of the most highly regarded session musicians. Pat Metheny: One Quiet Night
On May 13, 2003, “Warner Bros” label released “One Quiet Night”, the 34th Pat Metheny album. It was recorded November 2001 – January 2003, at Metheny’s home studio, and was produced by Steve Rodby and Pat Metheny. In 2024, “One Quiet Night” won the “Grammy Award for Best New Age Album”.

Steve Albini
On May 7, 2024, Steve Albini died aged 61. He was singer-songwriter, musician (guitar, bass, drums), audio engineer and music journalist, member the bands Big Black, Rapeman and Shellac. Albini was the founder, owner, and principal engineer of the Chicago studio “Electrical Audio”. He recorded and produced thousands of albums, for various acts including Nirvana, The Pixies, Fugazi, Chris Connely, Volcano Suns, The Breeders, Superchunk, Ty Segall, The Wedding Present, Cheap Trick, Guided By Voices, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, PJ Harvey, Manic Street Preachers, Will Oldham, Red Crayola, The Jesus Lizard and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
Richard Tandy
On May 1, 2024, Richard Tandy died aged 76. He was musician (keyboards, bass, guitar, harpsichord), performed with The Move, Jeff Lynne, was member of The Uglys and The Tandy Morgan Band, but was best known as keyboard and bass player of the Electric Light Orchestra.
Mike Pinder
On April 24, 2024, Michael Thomas Pinder died aged 82. He was musician (keyboards) and singer, known as the founding member and keyboards player of the band Moody Blues. Pinder was renowned for his contributions in the development and emergence of the Mellotron in 1960s rock music. In 2018, he was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as a member of the Moody Blues.As leader Pinder released two albums.

On April 18, 2024, Forrest Richard Betts aka Dickie Betts died aged 80. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, member of the bands Dickey Betts & Great Southern, Betts, Hall, Leavell and Trucks, but was best known as founding member, guitarist and singer of The Allman Brothers Band.
Chris Cross
On March 25, 2024, Christopher Thomas Allen aka Chris Cross died aged 71. He was musician (bass guitar, keyboards), member of the bands Stoned Rose and Tiger Lily, but was best known as bass player of Ultravox.
Gerald Conway
On March 29, 2024, Gerald Conway died aged 76. He was musician (drums, percussion), performed and recorded with Alexis Korner, Eclection, Fotheringay, Al Stewart, Cat Stevens, Joan Armatrading, The Bunch, Moke McHear, Grimms, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Richard Thompson and Ian Matthews. Conway was best known for his work with Pentangle, Jethro Tull and Fairport Convention.
