B. B. King: Indianola Mississippi Seeds

In October 1970, “ABC” label released “Indianola Mississippi Seeds”, the eighteenth    B. B. King studio album. It was recorded January 1969 – May / June 1970, at “The Record Plant” in Los Angeles, the “Hit Factory”, in New York City, and was produced by Bill Szymczyk. “Indianola Mississippi Seeds” is one of the most highly regarded blues crossover albums of all time.

Duane Allman

On October 29, 1971, Howard Duane Allman died aged 24. He was singer, musician (guitar, slide guitar, dobro), recorded and performed with The Hour Glass, Allman Joys, Derek and the Dominos, Wilson Pickett, Johnny Jenkins, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Mann, Boz Scaggs, Delaney & Bonnie, and Eric Clapton, but was best known as founder, guitarist, and leader of The Allman Brothers Band.
