He was musician (piano, keyboards, synthesizer, vibraphone, flute, drums), member of the bands The Hellions, Deep Feeling, The Blossom Toes, Bakerloo, Ian Matthews Southern Comfort and Eclection, but was best known as member of Family. Palmer recorded worked with Linda Lewis, Peter Frampton, Elkie Brooks, Streetwalkers, Roger Chapman and Pete Townshend. As leader he released one album.

Pete Sinfield
On November 14, 2024, Peter John Sinfield died aged 80. He was poet and songwriter, founding member of the band A Bowl of Soup, but was best known as co-founder and lyricist of King Crimson. He wrote lyrics for Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Angelo Branduardi, Andy Hill, McDonalds and Giles, Robert Sheckley, Brian Eno, Gary Brooker, Nikka Costa, Buck Fizz, Moon Martin, Leo Sayer, Five Star, Flairck, Agnetha Fältskog, Cher, Celine Dion, David Cross, and Ian McDonald. Sinfield released book of lyrics and poems titled “Under the Sky”, and as leader he released one album.
James Chance
On June 18, 2024, James Siegfried aka James Chance (also known as James White) died aged 71. He was musician (alto saxophone, keyboards), singer and songwriter, one of the key figures in the New York no wave scene. He was member of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, James Chance and the Contortions, James White and the Blacks, The Flaming Demonics, James Chance & the Sardonic Symphonics, James Chance and Terminal City, and James Chance and Les Contortions. As member of various bands Chance released 14 albums, and under his name one album.
Malcolm Cecil
On March 28, 2021, Malcolm Cecil died aged 84. He was musician (bass, double bass, synthesizer), in the late 1950s founded The Jazz Corners, performed and recorded with Dick Morrisey, Ronnie Scott, Tony Crombie, Gil Scott Heron, The Isley Brothers, Jim Hall, Bill Augustine, and was member of the band Blues Incorporated. With Robert Margouleff he formed the duo TONTO’s Expanding Head Band, based on combination of synthesizers, described by magazine “Rolling Stone” as revolutionary. As leader, Cecil released one album.

On February 21, 2019, Peter Halsten Thorkelson aka Peter Tork, died aged 77. He was musician (keyboards, piano, bass guitar, banjo, guitar), songwriter and actor, performed with James Lee Stanley and his band Shoe Suede Blues, recorded wit George Harrison, formed the band Peter Tork Release, but was best known as keyboards and bass player of The Monkees. As leader Tork released one album.

As musician and producer he worked with David Bowie, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Debbie Harry, Madonna, The Power Station, Duran Duran, Norma Jean Wright, Mick Jagger, Joe Cocker, Paul Simon, Sheila and B. Devotion, Nona Hendryx, Robert Palmer, Belouis Some, Air Supply, Rod Stewart, Adam Ant and James Freud. As leader Edwards released one album. In 2017, “Bass Player” magazine placed Edwards at number 53 on its list of the “Greatest Bassist of All Time”.

On April 16, 1999, Alexander Lee “Skip” Spence died aged 52. He was musician (drums, guitar, bass), singer and songwriter, started the career as guitarist in Quicksilver Messenger, played drums on “Jefferson Airplane Takes Off”, the debut Jefferson Airplane album, but was best known as co-founder and guitar player of Moby Grape. As leader, Spence released one album.
