On March 1968, “Columbia” label released “Nefertiti”, the 41st Miles Davis album. It was recorded June – July 1967, at “Columbia 30th Street Studio” in New York City, and was produced by Teo Macero and Howard Roberts.

Don Hunstein

On March 18, 2017, Don Hunstein died aged 88. He was photographer, best known for his work at “Columbia Records” and for his photographs that were featured on covers of some famous albums including Thelonious Monk’s Monk’s Dream; Blood, Sweat & Tears’s Mirror Image; Miles Davis’s Nefertiti, and the famous photograph of Bob Dylan walking with Suze Rotolo, used for the cover of “Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” album.

Miles Davies Water Babies

On November 2, 1976, “Columbia” label released “Water Babies”, Miles Davis studio album. “Water Babies” is a collection of “leftovers” from 1967’s “Nefertiti”, “Filles de Kilimanjaro” and 1968’s “In a Silent Way” sessions. The recording sessions took place on June 7, 13, 23, 1967, at “Columbia 30th Street Studio” in New York; and November 11–12, 1968, at “Columbia Studio B” in New York. The album was produced by Teo Macero.
