T. Rex - Same

On December 18, 1970, “Fly” label released  the self-titled, fifth T.Rex studio album.  It was recorded July – August 1970, at the “Trident Studios” in London, and was produced by TonyVisconti. This was the first album released under this name since the band changed their name from Tyrannosaurus Rex.

On October 23, 1970, “Bizzare” label released “Chunga’s Revenge”, the second Frank Zappa solo album. It was recorded July 1969 – August  1970, and was produced by Frank Zappa.

On October 17, 1980, “Columbia” label released “The River”, the fifth Bruce Springsteen studio album. It was recorded March 1979  – August 1980, at the “Power Station” in New York City, and was produced by Jon Landau, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt.  “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “The River” at number 253 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

T. Rex: Electric Warrior

Electric warrior

On September 24, 1971, “Fly” label released “Electric Warrior”, the sixth T. Rex studio album. It was recorded March–June 1971 at “Trident Studios” and “Advision Studios” in  London,  “Wally Heider Studios” in Los Angeles and “Media Sound Studios” in New York, and was produced by Tony Visconti. The cover artwork was designed by art design group Hipgnosis, based on a photograph taken by Kieron “Spud” Murphy at concert at the “Albert Hall”, Nottingham on May 14, 1971.
