Paul Siebel: Jack Knife Gypsy

In February 1971, “Elektra” label released “Jack-Knife Gypsy”, the second Paul Siebel album. It was recorded in 1970, at “Sunset Sound” and “Elektra Sound Recorders” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Robert W. Zachary.

Albert Grossman

On January 25, 1996, Albert Bernard Grossman died aged 58. He was entrepreneur and manager, best known as manager of Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Peter, Paul and Mary, The Band, Todd Rundgren, Odetta, Gordon Lightfoot and Ian & Sylvia. In 1969 he built the “Bearsville Recording Studio” near Woodstock, and in 1970 he founded “Bearsville Records”.

Freddie Hubbard: Straight Life

In January 1971, “CTI” label released “Straight Life”, the nineteenth Freddie Hubbard album It was recorded on 16 November 1970, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, and was produced by Creed Taylor.

In December 1970, “Fly” label released “Looking On”, the third Move album. It was recorded May – September 1970, at “Advision Studios” and “Philips Studios” in London, and was produced by Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne. “Looking On” was band’s first album containing entirely original compositions, and the first one to feature Jeff Lynne.
