Dead Can Dance: Aion

On June 11, 1990, “4AD” label released “Aion”, the fifth Dead Can Dance studio album. It was recorded 1989 – 1990, at Brendan Perry’s estate in “Quivvy Church” in Ireland “Woodbine Street Recording Studios” in Leamington Spa, England, and was produced by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. The album cover shows a detail from the Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch’s triptych “The Garden of Earthly Delights”.

On July 27, 1987, “4AD” label released “Within the Realm of a Dying Sun”, the third Dead Can Dance studio album. It was recorded April – May 1987, at “Woodbine Studios” in Warwickshire, England, and was produced by Brendan Perry, Lisa Gerrard and John A. Rivers. The album cover photograph was taken in Paris, at the family grave of François-Vincent Raspail at Père-Lachaise cemetery.
