Asia: Astra

On November 25, 1985, “Geffen” label released “Astra”, the third Asia studio album. It was recorded 1984 -1985, at “Westside”, “The Townhouse” and “Sarm West” in London, and was produced by Mike Stone and Geoff Downes.

Hugh McDowell

On November 6, 2018, Hugh Alexander McDowell died aged 65. He was musician (cello, keyboards), member of the chamber groups Harmonie Band and Quorum, bands Radio Stars, Cornelius Cardew Ensemble and Wizzard, recorded with Simon Apple, Saint Etienne, Welton Downes, Asia and Port Mahadia, but was best known as member of Electric Light Orchestra.

Asia: Silent Nation

On August 31, 2004, “InsideOut Music” label released “Silent Nation”, the ninth Asia studio album. It was recorded in 2004, at “Clear Lake Audio” in Hollywood, and was produced by John Payne.

John Wetton

On January 31, 2017, John Kenneth Wetton died aged 67. He was singer, musician (bass) and songwriter, best known as founding member and bass player of King Crimson and Asia. He has recorded and performed with Mogul Thrash, Family,  Roxy Music, Uriah Heep, U.K., Jack-Knife, Wishbone Ash, Phenomena, Gordon Haskell, Renaissance, Qango, Brian Eno, Ayreon,Steve Howe, Bill Bruford, Geoff Downes, Larry Norman, Alan White, Billy Sherwood, Peter Banks, Bryan Ferry, Pete Sinfield, Roger Chapman, Duncan Mackay, Atoll, District 97, Ayreon, Eddie Jobson, David Cross and Steve Hackett.  As leader, Wetton released six albums.
