Punch the Clock

On August 5, 1983, “F-Beat” label released “Punch the Clock”, eighth Elvis Costello album, his seventh with the Attractions. It was recorded January – April 1983, and was produced by Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, assisted by Gavin Greenaway and Colin Fairley. In 2013, “NME” magazine ranked the album at number 345 in its list of “The 100 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On June 4, 1984, “Columbia” label released “Born in the U.S.A.”, the seventh Bruce Springsteen studio album. It was recorded January 1982 – March 1984, at “The Power Station” and “The Hit Factory” in New York City, and was produced by Jon Landau, Chuck Plotkin, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 85 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”. In 2013, “NME” magazine ranked it at number 428 on its list album of the “Greatest Albums of all Time”.

On May 17, 2013, “Daft Life” and “Columbia” labels released “Random Access Memories”, the fourth Daft Punk studio album. It was recorded 2008, 2010, 2012, and was produced by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The album single, “Get Lucky”, was a critical and commercial success, topping the charts in more than 30 countries worldwide and becoming one of the best-selling digital singles of all time. In 2014, the album won “Grammy Awards” for “Album of the Year”, “Best Dance/Electronica Album” and “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical”. The song “Get Lucky” won “Grammy Awards” for “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”.
