Snow Patrol: Eyes Open

Eyes Open

On May 1, 2006, “Fiction” label released “Eyes Open”, the fourth Snow Patrol studio album. It was recorded October – December 2005, at “Grouse Lodge Studios” in Ireland; “The Garage” in Kent; “The Garden” and  “Angel Studios” in London. The single “Chasing Cars” went on to sell over 5 million copies worldwide and has spent a total of 166 weeks on the UK “Singles Chart”, more than any other song in history. The album has been certified 7 x Platinum in the UK, by the “BPI”.

The album was certified Platinum in the US by the “RIAA”. “St. Elsewhere” was voted best release of 2006 by “Pop Matters”. In 2007, the album won “Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album”.
