Strawbs: Bursting At The Seams

On January 26, 1973, “A&M” label released “Bursting at the Seams”, the fifth Strawbs studio album. It was recorded October – December 1972, at “Sound Techniques”, “The Manor” and “Morgan Studios” in London, and was produced by Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert, Blue Weaver and John Ford.

Strawbs: From the Witchwood

In July 1971, “A&M” label released “From the Witchwood”, the fourth Strawbs album. It was recorded February – March 1971, at “Air Studios” in London, and was produced by Tony Visconti.

Sandy Denny

On April 21, 1978, Alexandra Elene MacLean aka Sandy Denny died aged 31. She was singer and songwriter, member and lead singer of “Fairport Convention”, member of the British folk band the “Strawbs”, she formed the short-lived band “Fotheringay”. As solo artists Denny released four albums: “The North star Grassman and the ravens”, “Sandy”, “Like an old fashioned waltz” and “Rendezvous”.
