In September 1973, “MCA” label released “Show Your Hand”, the first Average White Band (The) album. It was recorded in 1973, at “R.G. Jones Studio” in London, and was produced by Robin Turner, Malcolm Duncan, Hamish Stuart, Onnie McIntyre, Roger Ball, Alan Gorrie and Robbie McIntosh.

In August 1974, “Atlantic” label released “AWB”, the second Average White Band studio album. It was recorded in 1974, at “Atlantic Recording Studios” in New York City and “Cand Criteria Sound Studios” in Miami, and was produced by Arif Mardin.

Robbie McIntosh

On September 23, 1974, Robert Broderick James ‘Robbie’ McIntosh died aged 24. He was musician (drums), in the late 60’  member of the bands The Senate and Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express,  but he is best known as a founding member and drummer of The Average White Band.
