Bo Hanson: Music Inspired by Lord of the Rings

In December 1970, “Silence” label released “Music Inspired by Lord of the Rings”, the debut Bo Hansson album. It is a concept album based on author J. R. R. Tolkien’s novel, The Lord of the Rings. It was recorded 1969 – 1970, at “Studio Decibel” in Stockholm, Bo Hanson’s House on Älgö in the Stockholm archipelago, and was produced by Bo Hanson and Anders Lind.

Glass Hammer: Journey of the Dunadan

On August 3, 1983, “Arion Records” and “Sound Resources” labels released “Journey of the Dunadan”, the debut Glass Hammer album. It was recorded in 1983 and was produced by Feed Schendel and Stephen DeArge. It is a concept album based on  J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel “The Lord of the Rings”.

Mike Rutherford: Smallcreep’s Day

On February 15, 1980, “Charisma” label released “Smallcreep’s Day”, the first Mike Rutherford studio album. It was recorded in 1979, at “Polar Studios” in Stockholm,   Sweden, and was produced by David Hentschel. The album name and the 24-minute title track are based on the 1965 novel “Smallcreep’s Day” by Peter Currell Brown.

Brian Eno And David Byrne: My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts

In February 1981, “Sire” label released “My Life in the Bush of Ghosts”, album by Brian Eno and David Byrne. It was recorded August 1979 – October 1980, and was produced by Brian Eno and David Byrne. The album is named after Amos Tutuola’s 1954 novel of the same name.
