It was recorded February – March 1985, at “Capitol Studios” in Los Angeles, “Clinton Recording” in New York, “Le Gonks” in Hollywood, and was produced by Tommy LiPuma and Marcus Miller. In 1986, Miles Davis received the “Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Soloist Grammy Award” for the performance on this album.
