In November 1971, “Reprise” label released “… Beautiful Lies You Could Live In”, the sixth Pearls Before Swine album. It was recorded in 1971, at “A&R Studios” and “Aura Sound” in New York, “Bearsville Studios” in Woodstock and was produced by Peter H. Edmiston.

On October 15, 1973, “Capitol” label released “Moondog Matinee” the fifth Band (The) studio album. It was recorded March–June 1973, at “Bearsville Sound Studios” in Bearsville, New York; “Capitol Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Robbie Robertson, Richard Manuel and  Billy Mundi. The album consists entirely of cover songs.

On July 19, 1974, “Reprise” label released “On the Beach”, the fifth Neil Young studio album. It was recorded February – April 1974, at “Arrow Ranch” in Woodside, California, and “Sunset Sound Recorders” in Hollywood, and was produced by Neil Young, David Briggs, Mark Harman and Al Schmitt. “On the Beach” was ranked at number 40 in Bob Mersereau’s book “The Top 100 Canadian Albums”.
