On January 31, 2005, “Parlophone” label released “Tourist”, the second Athlete studio album, It was recorded in 2004, at “Helioscentric Studios” in East Sussex, “The Dairy”, “Abbey Road” and Athlete’s studio in London, and was produced by Victor Van Vugt, John Cornfield, Joel Pott, Tim Wanstall, Carey Willets and Stephen Roberts.

On June 7, 2005, “Atlantic” label released “Octavarium”, the eighth Dream Theater studio album. It was recorded September 2004 – February 2005, at “The Hit Factory” in, New York City, and was produced by John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy.

It was recorded January 2004 – January 2005, at “Air Lyndhurst Hall”, “Parr Street Studios”, “Sarm West Studios”, “The Town House”, “The Hit Factory”,  and was produced by Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion , Ken Nelson and Danton Supple. The album’s cover art is a combination of colours and blocks, a representation of the Baudot code. “X&Y” was the best-selling album released in 2005 worldwide.
