On December 5, 1964, “Argo” label released “Queen of Soul”, the fifth Etta James studio album. It was recorded in 1964, and was produced by Leonard Chess.

In February 1968, “Cadet Records” label released “Tell Mama”, the seventh Etta James studio album. It was recorded in 1967, at “Fame Studios” in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and was produced by Rick Hall.

It was recorded  June 1970 – July 1973, at the“Golden World Studio” in Detroit and at the “Hitsville West” in Los  Angeles, and was produced by Marvin Gaye and Ed Townsend. The album received positive critics worldwide and is regarded as one of the most influential and most significant soul and funk albums of all time.
