On December 3, 2008, Derek Wadsworth died aged 69. He was musician (cornet, trombone, keyboards), composer and arranger. He was musical director for Diana Ross, Dusty Springfield, and the musical “Hair”. As a musician and arranger he worked with Maynard Ferguson, Georgie Fame, Nina Simone, David Essex, Judy Garland, Humphrey Lyttelton, Graham Collier, Tonny Bennett, George Harrison, Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick, Mike Oldfield, Simply Red, Kate Bush, Cat Stevens, Small Faces, Manferd Mann, and the Rolling Stones.

Wayne Jackson
On June 21, 2016, Wayne Lamar Jackson died aged 74. He was musician (trumpet, trombone, French horn). song writer and producer, playing trumpet in the “Stax Records” house band The Mar – Keys, but best known as co-founder, together with Andrew Love, and member of The Memphis Horns, regarded as “arguably the greatest soul horn section ever”. Jackson and Love played together on 52 No. 1 songs, and recorded and toured with many famous names, including Elvis Presley, Otis Reding, Neil Diamond, Aretha Franklin, The Doobie Brothers, Al Green, Dusty Springfield, Jimmy Buffet, Robert Cray, Sam & Dave and many others. In 2012, the Memphis Horns received a “Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award” for outstanding artistic significance in music.
Andrew Love
On April 12, 2012, Andrew Love died aged 70. He was musician (saxophone), best known for being a member of The Memphis Horns. He was session musician at “Stax Records”, and together with trumpet player Wayne Jackson, he created the signature of Stax horn sound. Love has recorded and toured with many famous artists such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, The Doobie Brothers, Jimmy Buffett and Robert Cray.
Pet Shop Boys: Actually
On September 7, 1987, “Parlaphone” label released “Actually”, the second Pet Shop Boys studio album . It was recorded 1986–1987 at “Sarm West Studios”,“Advision Studios” in London, and was produced by Pet Shop Boys, Stephen Hague, Julian Mendelesohn, Andy Richards, Shep Pettibone and David Jacob.

On October 24, 2002, Thomas John “Tom” Dowd died aged 77. He was recording engineer and producer for Atlantic Records. He was credited with innovating the multi-track recording method. Tom Dowd recorded albums for number of famous artists including: Eric Clapton, Derek and the Dominos, Rod Stewart, Aretha Franklin, The Drifters, Cream, Lulu, Chicago, The Allman Brothers Band, The J.
