Gruff Rhys: Candylion

Candylion

On January 8, 2007, “Rough Trade” label released “Candylion”, the second Gruff Rhys album.  It was recorded in 2006, at “Stiwsio Ofn” in Llanfaelog, Wales, at “AR 3” in Rio de Janeiro, and “Dairy” in Brixton, and was produced by Gruff Rhys,  Gorwel Owen and Mario Caldato, Jr.

Ike Turner

On December 12, 2007, Ike Wister Turner died aged 76. He was musician (guitar), bandleader, songwriter, arranger, talent scout, record producer and one of the early pioneer of rock and roll. He is best known for his work in the 60’ and 70’ with  “Ike & Tina Revue” together with his (at that time) wife Tina Turner.
