Curtis Fuller: The Opener

In September 1957, “Blue Note” label released “The Opener”, the third Curtis Fuller album. It was recorded in June 1957, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Hackensack, New Jersey, and was produced by Alfred Lion.

It was recorded 1978 – 1979, at “Rockfield Studios” in Monmouthshire, “Air Studios”, “DJM Studios” and “Utopia Studios” in London, “The Music Centre” in Wembley, “Lea Sound Studios” in Pelsall, and was produced by Roy Wood.

It was recorded 2020 – 2021, at “Studios Studios” in Nagambie, Victoria, and was produced by Gareth Liddiard and Mike Deslandes. At the 2021 “ARIA Music Awards”, “Deep States” won the award for “Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album”
