King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard: K.G.

On November 20, 2020, “KGLW” (band’s own label) released “K.G.” (subtitled Explorations into Microtonal Tuning, Volume 2), the sixteenth King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard studio album. It was recorded in 2020, and was produced by Stu Mackenzie.

Houston Person: The opening Round

On July 1, 1997, “Savant” label released “The Opening Round”, subtitled “The Groove Masters Series Vol. 1”, the 43rd Houston Person album. It was recorded in February 1997, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, and was produced by Houston Person.

The album features music pieces without the usual song structure, an hour of modulated feedback and guitar effects, mixed at varying speeds, and is considered a forerunner of industrial and noise rock,
