On February 5, 2025, Michael Roland Ratledge died aged 81. He was musician (keyboards, flute), member of the Daevid Allen Trio, but was best known as founding member of Soft Machine. Regarded as one of the most influential members of the Canterbury scene, he recorded with Daevid Allen Trio, Kevin Ayers, Daevid Allen, Syd Barrett, David Bedford, Wilde Flowers, Planet Earth, Rubber, Rollercoaster, Karl Jenkins.

On October 21, 2011, “ECM” label released “Tribe”, album by Enrico Rava Quartet (the 41st Enrico Rava album overall). It was recorded in October 2010, at “ArteSuono Studio” in Udine, Italy, and was produced by Manfred Eicher.

Duran Duran: Same
On June 15, 1981, “EMI” label released the self-titled, debut Duran Duran studio album. It was recorded in December 1980, at “Red Bus Studios”, “Abbey Road Studios”, “Utopia Studio” and “Chipping Norton Recording Studios”, and was produced by Colin Thurston. In December 1982, the album was certified Platinum in UK by the “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
