Rufus: Ask Rufus

On January 19, 1977, “ABC” label released “Ask Rufus”, the fifth Rufus studio album. It was recorded June – November 1976, at “Kendun Recorders” in Burbank, California, and was produced by Chaka Khan, Tony Maiden, David Wolinski, Kevin Murphy, Bobby Watson and André Fischer. In 2020, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 499 in its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

It was recorded 1973-1974, at “Quantum Studios” in Torrance, California, and was produced by Chaka Khan, Dennis Beifield, André Fischer, Kevin Murphy, Al Ciner, Ron Stockert and Bob Monaco. The album was certified Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
