On February 22, 1980, “Safari” label released “Sheep Farming in Barnet”, the Toyah debut album. It was recorded in 1978, and was produced by Steve James and Keith Hale. The album was originally released as a 6-track extended EP, dubbed an ‘Alternate Play’ record by “Safari”, and was later expanded into full-album status.

Buzzcocks: Spiral Scratch

Spiral scratch

On January 29, 1977, Buzzcocks self released the debut EP “Spiral  Scratch”. It was recorded in 1976 and was produced by Martin Hannett. This was the third record ever released by British punk band and the first self-released one.

The Rolling Stones: Same

RS first EP

On January 10, 1964, “Decca” label released the self-titled, debut Rolling Stones EP. It was recorded on August 8, 1963, at “Decca Studios” in West Hampstead and on 14 November 1963,at  “De Lane Lea Studios” in Kingsway,  and was produced by Eric Oldham and Andrew Long Oldham.

Enjoy Incubus

On January 7, 1997, “Epic” label released “Enjoy Incubus”, EP by Incubus. The EP contained re-recordings of songs that featured on their previous, independent releases “Let Me Tell Ya ‘Bout Root Beer” and “Fungus Amongus”, and the previously unreleased track “Version”. The EP was produced by Jim Wirt.
