Methyl Ethel: Everything Is Forgotten

On March 3, 2017, “4AD” label released “Everything Is Forgotten”, the second Methyl Ethel studio album. It was recorded 2016 – 2017, and was produced by James Ford and Jake Webb. At the 2017 “West Australian Music Industry Awards”, the album won “Best Album” award.

In March 1971, “Philips” label released “Histoire de Melody Nelson”, the tenth Serge Gainsbourg album. It was recorded April 1970 – February 1971, at “Studio Marble Arch” in London, and “Studio des Dames” in Paris, and was produced by Jean-Claude Desmarty.

It was recorded September 2001 – May 2002, and was produced by Ken Nelson, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman  and Will Cha,pion. In 2002, at the “Q Awards” the album was awarded “Best Album”. In 2003, the album won Coldplay “Grammy Awards” for “Best Alternative Album” and for “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal” for the song “In My Place”, and was voted “Best British Album” at the “BRIT Awards”. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “A Rush of Blood to the Head” at number 466 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified 3 x Platinum in Argentina by “CAPIF”; 7 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; Platinum in Austria by “IFPI”; 4 x Platinum in Brazil by “ABPD”; Platinum in Italy by “FIMI”; Platinum in Mexico by “AMPROFON”; Platinum in Netherlands by “NVPI”; 4 x Platinum in New Zealand by “RMNZ”; 9 x Platinum in the UK by the “BPI” and 4 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On May 30, 1981, “Korova” label released “Heaven Up Here”, the second Echo & the Bunnymen album. It was recorded in March 1981, at “Rockfield Studios” in Monmouth, Wales, and was produced by Hugh Jones , Ian McCulloch, Les pattinson, Pete de Freitas and Will Sergeant. In 1981 ”Heaven Up Here” was voted “Best Dressed LP” and “Best Album” awards at the “NME Awards”. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 471 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

On May 1, 1988, “RCA” label released “The First of a Million Kisses”, the debut Fairground Attraction album. It was recorded in 1988, and was produced by Eddi Reader, Mark E. Nevin, Simon Edwards, Ray Dodds and Kevin Maloney. In 1989, “The First of a Million Kisses”, won the award for best album at the “Brit Awards” and was certified Platinum in UK by the “BPI”.
