Mike Pinder

On April 24, 2024, Michael Thomas Pinder died aged 82. He was musician (keyboards) and singer, known as the founding member and keyboards player of the band Moody Blues. Pinder was renowned for his contributions in the development and emergence of the Mellotron in 1960s rock music. In 2018, he was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as a member of the Moody Blues.As leader Pinder released two albums.

On April 13, 2019, “Warner Bros” label released “King’s Mouth: Music and Songs”, the fifteenth Flaming Lips (The) album. It was recorded in 2018, at “Pink Floor Studios” in Oklahoma City, “Tarbox Road Studios” in Cassadaga, New York, and was produced by Dennis Coyne, Scott Booker, Wayne Coyne, Steven Drozd, Derek Brown and Matt Duckworth Kirksey.

It was recorded 2016 – 2017, at “Panoram” in Mexico City, “Union” in Seoul, South Korea, “Phu Sa” in Hanoi, Vietnam, “Rasmus auga” in Reykjavik, Iceland, Ruban Nielson’ basement in Portland, Oregon, Kody Nielson’s home studio in Auckland, New Zealand, was produced by Ruban Nielson.
