On October 3, 1989, “Elektra” label released “Crossroads” the second Tracy Chapman album. It was recorded in 1989, and was produced by Tracy Chapman and David Kershenbaum. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; Platinum in Austria by “IFPI Austria”; Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in France by “SNEP”; 2 x Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in New Zealand by “RMNZ”; 2 x Platinum in Switzerland by “IFPI Switzerland”; Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by “RIIA”.
