High Violet

On May 10, 2010, “4AD” label released “High Violet”, the fifth National (The) studio album. It was recorded March 2009 – January 2010, at Aaron Dressner’s garage in Brooklyn, “Tarquin Studios” in Bridgeport, “Kampo Studios” in New York City, and was produced by The National. “Binding Force”, the sculpture on the album cover was created by artist Mark Fox. In October, 2010, “High Violet” was awarded a “Q” award for Best Album.
