On July 4, 2006, “American Recordings” label released “American V: A Hundred Highways”, a posthumously studio album by Johnny Cash. It was recorded May – August 2003, at “Cash Cabin Studio” in Hendersonville, Tennessee, “Akadamie Mathematique of Philosophical Sound Research” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Rick Rubin.

On March 25, 2014, “Legacy Recordings” label released “Out Among the Stars” the posthumous Johnny Cash studio album. The album materials come from the lost 1980s sessions with producer Billy Sherrill, shelved by “Columbia Records”, and discovered and compiled by Cash’s son John Carter Cash in 2012. The materials were recorded 1981-1984, at “Columbia Studios” in Nashville, Tennessee, and “1111 Sound Studios” in Los Angeles, and were produced by Billy Sherrill, John Carter Cash and Steve Berkowitz.

JohnnyCash American III Solitary Man

On October 17, 2000, “American Recordings” label released “American III: Solitary Man”, the 85th Johnny Cash album overall and the third album in the “American series”. The album was produced by John Carter Cash and Rick Rubin. “American III: Solitary Man” won “Grammy” award for “Best Male Country Vocal Performance” for Cash’s version of the Neil Diamond classic “Solitary Man”.
