On November 8, 1974,”Wooden Nickel” label released “Man of Miracles”, the fourth Styx album. It was recorded in 1974 at “Golden Voice Studios” in South Pekin, and was produced by John Ryan and Bill Traut.

On July 7, 1977, “A&M” released “The Grand Illusion”, the seventh Styx studio album. It was recorded in 1977, at “Paragon Recording Studios” in Chicago, and was produced by Dennis DeYoung, James Young, Chuck Panozzo and Tommy Shaw. The album cover was an homage to a painting by René Magritte “Le Blanc-Seing”, and was designed by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse. The album was certified 3 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On January 19, 1981, “A&M” label released “Paradise Theatre”, the tenth Styx album.  It was recorded in 1980 at “Pumpkin Studios” in Oak Lawn, Illinois, and was produced by Dennis Young, Chuck Panozzo, John Panozzo, Tommy Shaw and James Young. The album is the only Styx US #1 album, band’s fourth triple-platinum album and the last multi-platinum album.
