On September 18, 2012, “Warp” label released “Shields”, the fourth Grizzly Bear studio album. It was recorded in 2012, and was produced by Chris Taylor.

It was recorded September 2019 – September 2020, at “The Long Pond” in Columbia County, New York, “Studios St. Germain” in Paris, “Vox Recording” in Los Angeles, “The Diamond Mine” in Long Island City, Queens, “Electric Lady Studios” in Greenwich Village, New York, and was produced by Robin Pecknold.
