In May 1969, “King” label released “Gettin’ Down To It”, the 28th James Brown studio album. It was recorded December 1968 – March 1969, and was produced by James Brown.

On February 4, 1980, “Sire” label released “End of the Century”, the fifth Ramones studio album. It was recorded in May 1979, and was produced by Phil Spector. The album was the first release without original member Tommy Ramone, who in 1978 left the band but produced their previous album “Road to Ruin”.

New Order: Technique

On January 30, 1989, “Factory” label released “Technique”, the fifth New Order studio album.  It was recorded in 1988, at “Mediterranean Studios” in Ibiza and “Real World Studios”, and was produced by Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert. In 2013 “NME” ranked “Technique” at number 122 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. In 2006 “Q” magazine ranked the album at No. 21 on its list of the “40 Best Albums of the ’80s”.
