Sonny Stitt: Soul People

In September 1965, “Prestige” label released “Soul People”, the 50th Sonny Stitt album. It was recorded in 1964, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was produced by Ozzie Cadena, Bob Porter and Cal Lampley.

In June 1979, “Pablo” label released “Classy Pair”, the 50th Ella Fitzgerald album. It was recorded in February 1979 and was produced by Norman Granz.

Ornette Coleman: Sound Grammar

On September 12, 2006, “Sound Grammar” label released “Sound Grammar”, the 50th Ornette Coleman album as a band leader. It was recorded live on October 14, 2005, in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and was produced by Ornette Coleman and  Michaela Deiss. In 2007, the album won the 2007 “Pulitzer Prize for Music”.
