Paul Simon: The Paul Simon Songbook

In August 1965, “Columbia / CBS” label released “The Paul Simon Songbook”, the debut Paul Simon studio album. It was recorded in 1965, and was produced by Reginald Warburton and Stanley West.

*Paul Kane” was a pseudonym used by Simon at this time, because of his fondness for the movie “Citizen Kane”.

Bobby Gregg

On May 3, 2014, Robert Grego aka Bobby Gregg, died aged 78. He was musician (drums) and record producer, he was member of the band The Hawks, which later become known as The Band. Gregg was best known for his work with Bob Dylan (Like a Rolling Stone), Simon & Garfunkel (The Sound of Silence), Peter, Paul & Mary and John Cale.

On October 19, 1964, “Columbia” label released “Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.”, the debut Simon & Garfunkel album. It was recorded March 1964, and was produced by Tom Wilson.

Simon & Garfunkel: Sounds Of Silence

Sounds of Silence

On January 17, 1966, “Columbia” label released “Sounds of Silence” the second Simon & Garfunkel studio album. It was recorded March 1964 – December 1965, and was produced by Bob Johnston. In 2013, the album was inducted in the “Library of Congress in the National Recording Registry”, due to its “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
