On July 29, 1996, “Columbia” label released “A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular”, the debut Hooverphonic studio album. It was recorded in 1996 and was produced by Liesje Sadonius, Raymond Geerts, Frank Duchêne, and Alex Callier.

It was recorded at “Big House”, “Soundtrack”, “Odin”, “Son/Re”, “DV’s Perversion Room” in Milwaukee, and was produced by Warren Bruleigh, Gordon Gano, Brian Ritchie, Guy Hoffman, Pierre Henry and Tom Grimley.
