On December 19, 2021, Billy Conway died aged 66. He was musician (drums, percussion), member of Treat Her Right, toured as duo with Jeffrey Foucault, backed Chris Smither, but was best known as member and drummer of Morphine.

John Prine
On April 7, 2020, John Prine died aged 73. He was singer – songwriter and musician (guitar), known for his music that has elements of protest and social commentary. His song “Sam Stone” stands as a reference to the phenomenon of heroin or morphine addiction among Vietnam war veterans. During 2005 at the request of U.S. poet laureate Ted Kooser, John Prine became the first singer – songwriter to read and perform at the Library of Congress. Prine won two “Grammy Awards” and recorded eighteen albums.
Morphine: Cure for Pain
On September 14, 1993, “Rykodisc” label released “Cure for Pain”, the second Morphine album. It was recorded in 1993, and was produced by Paul Q. Kolderie and Mark Sandman.

Morphine: Like Swimming
On March 11, 1997, “DreamWorks Records” released “Like Swimming”, the fourth Morphine album. It was recorded in 1996, and was produced by Mark Sandman and Paul Q. Kolderie.

Morphine: The Night
On February 1, 2000, “Dream Works” Label released “The Night”, the fifth and final Morphine studio album. It was completed just before the sudden July 1999 death of bass player and lead singer Mark Sandman, and was produced by Mark Sandman, Dana Colley and Jerome Deupree.
