On September 28, 2024, Kristoffer Kristofferson died aged 88 years. He was musician (guitar, harmonica), singer, composer and actor. His best known songs are “Me and Bobby McGee”, “For the Good Times”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, and “Help Me Make It Through the Night”. Kristofferson has won three “Grammy Awards” and received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2014. As leader he released twenty-one albums.

Gordon Lightfoot: Sit Down Young Stranger
In April 1970, “Reprise” label released “Sit Down Young Stranger”, the sixth Gordon Lightfoot album. It was recorded September-December 1968, at “Sunwest Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Lenny Waronker and Joseph Wissert.

Janis Joplin: Pearl
On January 11, 1971, “Columbia” label released “Pearl”, the second and final Janis Joplin solo studio album. It was recorded September – October, 1970, and was produced by Paul A. Rothchild. This was the only Janis Joplin album recorded with the Full Tilt Boogie Band. The album was certified 4 x Platinum in US by the “RIAA”.
