On October 19, 1973, “Island” label released “Burnin’”, the sixth Wailers (The) album. It was recorded in April 1973, at the “Harry J. Studios”, in Kingston, Jamaica, and was produced by Chris Blackwell, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Aston Barrett and Carlton Barrett . The album features “Get Up, Stand Up”, song that became one of the reggae music trademarks.  In 2003, the album was ranked at number 319 on “Rolling Stone” magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

Bob Marley

On May 11, 1981, Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley died aged 36. He was singer, songwriter, musician (guitar), regarded as the most important artist in the reggae history and achieved status as one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, with sales of more than 75 million records.
