Lynyrd Skynyrd

On August 13, 1973, “MCA” label released the self-titled, debut Lynyrd Skynyrd album. It was recorded March – May 1973, at “Studio One” in Doraville, Georgia, and was produced by Al Kooper.

Metamorphosis

On August 13, 1970, “Atco” label released “Metamorphosis”, the fourth Iron Butterfly, studio album. It was recorded May – July 1970, and was produced by Richard Podolor. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 403 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. “Metamorphosis” is noted for having one of the earliest uses of the Talk box on a rock album.

On August 13, 1990, “4AD” label released “Bossanova”, the third Pixies studio album. It was recorded in 1990, at “Silverlake Studio” in Hollywood, “Cherokee Studios” in Hollywood, “Hansa Ton Studio” in Berlin and “AIR” studios in London and was produced by Gil Norton.
