McCoy Tyner: Prelude And Sonata

In November 1995, “Keystone” and “Milestone” labels released “Prelude and Sonata”, the 62nd McCoy Tyner album. It was recorded in November 1994, at “Clinton Recording Studio” in New York City, and was produced by Makoto Kimata and Todd Barkan.

Dee Dee Bridgewater: Dear Ella

On September 30, 1997, “Verve” label released “Dear Ella”, the eleventh Dee Dee Bridgewater studio album. It was recorded January – February 1997.  At the 40th Grammy Awards, the album won Bridgewater the “Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album” and Slide Hampton the “Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist”, for the arrangement of “Cotton Tail”.

On May 21, 2002, “Verve” label released “This is New”, the 14th Dee Dee Bridgewater album. It was recorded November – December 2001, at “Capitol Studios” in Los Angeles, “Plus XXX Studios” in Paris, and was produced by Dee Dee Bridgewater. The album was dedicated to Kurt Weill’s music.
