Okkervil River: The Stand Ins

On September 9, 2008, “Jagjaguwar” label released “The Stand Ins”, the fifth Okkervil River album. The album is the second half of “The Stage Names”, planned double album. It was recorded in 2008, and was produced by Brian Beattie.

It was recorded in 2003 at “Tiny Telephone”, “OTR”, “15th Street” in San Francisco, and was produced by Will Sheff, Jonathan Meiburg, Zachary Thomas, Seth Warren, Michi AceretGeoffrey Hershberger, Thomas Heyman – Pedal steel guitar, Alan Molina, and John Vanderslice.

On April 5, 2005, “Jagjaguwar” label released “Black Sheep Boy”, the third Okkervil River studio album. It was recorded in 2005, at “Brian Beattie’s Wonder Chamber” in Austin, and was produced by Will Sheff, Howard Draper,  Zachary Thomas, Jonathan Melburg and Travis Nelsen. The album cover features the work of Providence artist William Schaff.
