Mason Williams: The Mason Williams Phonograph Record

In February 1968, “Warner Bros” label released “The Mason Williams Phonograph Record”, the second Mason Williams album. It was recorded in 1967, and was produced by Mike Post. Mason Williams won two “Grammy Awards”, for “Best Pop Instrumental Performance” and “Best Instrumental Theme”. Mike Post won “Grammy Award” for “Best Instrumental Arrangement of a song”.

It was recorded May 1981, at “ARC/George Massenburg Studio” in Los Angeles and “Sunset Sounds Recording Studio” in Hollywood, and was produced by Maurice White. The album was certified Platinum in the US by “RIAA”.

Lumpy Gravy

On August 7, 1967, “Capitol” label released “Lumpy Gravy”, the debut Frank Zappa album. It was recorded in February 1967, and was produced by Nick Venet. “Lumpy Gravy” is an album of orchestral, electric and concrete sound, performed by a group of session players Zappa dubbed the Abnuceals Emuukha Electric Symphony Orchestra.
