On October 11, 1993, “This Way Up” label released the debut, self – titled Tindersticks album. It was recorded in May 1993, at “Townhouse III” in London, and was produced by Stuart Staples, David Boulter, Neil Fraser, Dickon Hinchliffe, Mark Colwill, Alistair Macaulay, and Ian Caple. “Melody Maker” magazine named it album of the year in the UK.
