On January 27, 1982, “Warner Bros” released “Mesopotamia”, the third B-52’s album. It was recorded in September 1981 at “Blank Tape Studios” in New York, and was produced by David Byrne. Due to conflicts with Byrne and record label pressure, recording sessions were aborted prematurely and only six of ten songs to be completed were released as an shorter than originally intended LP.
