The Who: I Can’t Explain
On January 15, 1965, “Brunswick” label released “I Can’t Explain / Bald Headed Woman”, single by The Who. It is band’s first single released under the name “The Who”, their previous single, “Zoot Suit /I’m the Face,” was released under the name “The High Numbers”. The song “I Can’t Explain” was produced by Shel Talmy. Jimmy Page played rhythm guitar as a session guitarist.

On October 29, 1965, “Brunswick” label released “My Generation”, single by The Who. It was placed at number 11, on the “Rolling Stone” magazine list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.
David Bowie: Space Oddity
On July 11, 1969, “Phillips” label released “Space Oddity / Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud”, 7″ single by David Bowie. It was recorded on June 20, 1969, and was produced by Gus Dudgeon.

On May 27, 1977, “Virgin” label released “God Save the Queen”, the second Sex Pistols single. Track “Did You No Wrong” was the B side of the single. “God Save the Queen” was written by Glen Matlock, John Lydon, Paul Thomas Cook, Stephen and Philip Jones. The single was produced by Chris Thomas and Bill Price. The cover art was by Jamie Reid. In 2001 it was ranked at number 1 in a list of the “100 Greatest Record Covers of all Time” by “Q” magazine.
The Rolling Stones: Jumpin’ Jack Flash
On May 24, 1968, “Decca” label released “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”, the 32nd Rolling Stones (The) single. Track “Child of the Moon” was the B side of the single. “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The single was produced by Jimmy Miller.
