On May 5, 2009, “High Note” label released “The Blessing”, the 38^th and the final David “Fathead” Newman studio album. It was recorded in December 2008, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was produced by Houston Person and David “Fathead” Newman.
