Archie Shepp: Four For Trane

In January 1965, “Impulse!” label released “Four for Trane”, the third Archie Sheep album. It was recorded in August 1964, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was produced by Bob Thiele and John Coltrane.

On February 26, 1966, “Impulse” label released “Ascension”, the 21st John Coltrane album. It was recorded on June 28, 1965, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was produced by Bob Thiele.

It was recorded in November 1968, at “Room 1, Second West Ward” at “Queen Charlotte’s Hospital” in London, March 1969, at “Lady Mitchell Hall” at “Cambridge University” in Cambridge, and was produced by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
